When I was little I remember sitting on my gran’s lap
listening to the tales of Peter Rabbit in Mr. McGregor’s vegetable patch, Jemima
Puddle-Duck hiding her eggs, and Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle the hedgehog washerwoman.
She had the whole Beatrix potter collection on the bottom
shelf of her bookshelf in her bedroom, and would allow me to choose one of the
books so she could read it to me – Sometimes, she would even read me more than
one story. These same books belonged to my mom and aunt when they were little, and
now they belong to me.
I found this Peter Rabbit Party post on Style Me Pretty Living, and
it brought back so many memories.
